Position Summary SM VIA Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join our multidisciplinary surgical team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care, including patient evaluation, operative treatment, and pre- and postoperative management. The position offers the opportunity to work with an experienced clinical team in a collaborative environment focused on high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients and determine appropriate surgical treatment. Perform general surgical procedures within granted clinical privileges. Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care. Manage inpatient and outpatient surgical consultations. Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other clinical professionals. Participate in the general surgery call schedule. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Participate in quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives. Communicate treatment plans and follow-up requirements clearly to patients and their families. Required Qualifications MD or DO degree. Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program. Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery. Active or eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license. Eligible for hospital credentialing and clinical privileges. Current BLS and ACLS certification. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills. Board certification is particularly appropriate to represent in your SMVIA Certifications structure, while the Florida medical license belongs under Professional Licenses. U.S. physicians and surgeons must be licensed by the state in which they practice; board certification is a separate professional credential. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of post-residency general surgery experience. Experience with minimally invasive surgery. Experience working within a multidisciplinary hospital environment. Interest in quality improvement and clinical leadership. Position Overview MetroHealth Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and resilient Registered Nurse (RN) to join our high-volume Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at rapid patient assessment, and delivers high-quality clinical care in critical situations. Key Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing patient triage, clinical assessments, and vital sign monitoring. Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols. Collaborate with emergency physicians, mid-level providers, and trauma teams to coordinate immediate patient care. Maintain accurate, real-time clinical documentation within the EHR system (Epic). Educate patients and family members on discharge instructions, care plans, and follow-up requirements. Requirements & Qualifications Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Texas or Compact/eNLC State License. Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) via American Heart Association (AHA).
